Cyclist Wins Undisclosed Damages

A cyclist has been awarded undisclosed damages for injuries he sustained in a road traffic accident.

Julian Richards, a British triathlete, was approaching a junction when a car pulled out in front of him without warning. He hit the car and was thrown against its windscreen and then onto the road.

Mr Richards suffered soft tissue injuries to his hip, shoulder, arms and left knee. Also, his bicycle was damaged beyond economic repair.

He brought a personal injury claim and the driver's insurers accepted liability for the accident and agreed to pay him compensation.

If you have been injured, through no fault of your own, whilst taking part in a leisure or sporting activity, you could be entitled to compensation.
